About my trailhounds

After the sudden death of Kim, my bearded collie cross, I wanted to find a new dog; rather than grieving for her, I wanted to give my love to another animal.

I rang the F.A.I.T.H Animal Rescue Centre and asked for "something scruffy and lovable". They said they didn't have anything scruffy, but they could manage lovable! Patsy came to greet me, put her paws on my shoulders, and that was that...

She was born in early 1995, raced until she was 5 1/2, found in a concrete bunker outside Glasgow, and taken to the Trailhound Trust, where Peter kept her for two years, as she was one of his favourite dogs. She was sent to Norfolk to find a comfortable retirement home - and found me.

Suzi came because Patsy had put on a lot of weight and was getting lazy (walking with two other very elderly dogs). There was a Hound Day at F.A.I.T.H and I fell in love with Suzi. She was born January 30th, 2004, and is a great fun dog. She's so energetic that she gets taken out weekday mornings with several other doggie friends, and adores and is adored by her dog-walkers, Lucy & Baz.

Patsy & Suzi have bonded extremely well, and are partners in crime as well as having a lot of fun together.
